Introduction: Our Culture of Giving Back
This week, as we celebrate National Volunteer Week, Montana Heritage Home Builders proudly shines a light on the spirit of service that deeply permeates our company culture. For us, building exceptional homes in Northwest Montana goes hand-in-hand with a commitment to strengthening the communities we serve. This dedication is powerfully exemplified by the unwavering volunteerism of our founder, Allen Ream, and his son, Nicolas Ream, whose extensive involvement and leadership both within the building industry and the wider community embody the true meaning of giving back.
Allen Ream: A Legacy of Leadership and Service in the Building Industry
Our founder, Allen Ream, embodies this spirit through his extensive volunteer leadership within the building industry. Allen serves on the Board of Directors and the Executive Board of the Montana Building Industry Association, and he has previously dedicated his time to multiple terms on the Board of Directors of the Flathead Building Association, serving as Past President for both organizations. His dedication and impact have been recognized by his peers, as Allen was named Flathead Building Association Builder of the Year in 2020 and Montana Building Industry Association Builder of the Year in 2021.

Allen Ream’s National and Broader Community Contributions
His commitment reaches the national level through his service on the Leadership Council of the National Association of Home Builders, and he will soon take on the significant role of the National Association of Home Builders State Representative for Montana. His active participation on the National Association of Home Builders Custom Home Builders Committee, along with his involvement in numerous committees, subcommittees, and working groups across the local, state, and national levels, showcases a profound commitment to shaping and advancing the building profession. We are incredibly proud of Allen’s dedication and his service to both our industry and our country as a Veteran of the United States Coast Guard. Beyond his significant contributions to the building industry, Allen also volunteers his time with the elderly and Veterans and mentors college students from the University of Denver National Association of Home Builders Student Chapter. Allen has also held several other leadership positions within the National Association of Home Builders, the Montana Building Industry Association, and the Flathead Building Association, and has received several other awards recognizing his significant contributions and leadership.
