Columbia Falls, a community of about 3,700 people is the “Gateway to Glacier National Park.” Located just 18 miles south of West Glacier, 15 miles northeast of Kalispell, 10 miles southeast of Whitefish and Whitefish Mountain Ski Resort and 25 miles north of Flathead Lake, Columbia Falls is centrally located for all your needs. Columbia Falls offers many outdoor recreational opportunities including the nationally recognized Meadowlake Golf Resort. Big Sky Waterpark offers many hours of fun in the summer while there are many miles of groomed snowmobiling trails for winter activities. Columbia Falls is home to two grade schools, Ruder Elementary and Glacier Gateway Elementary. Columbia Falls has one junior high, Columbia Falls Junior High, and one high school, Columbia Falls High School. Columbia Falls is close to stores and churches.
